Gindie - many brigalow
So in 2021, we found ourselves living at Sandhurst in Gindie - I have been told Gindie means “place of many brigalow”.
Brigalow (Acacia harpophylla) is a legendary tree in the outback of Queensland. It is has grey foliage, dark furrowed bark and golden yellow flowers. Considered a hardy tree I felt a connection to its strength, resilience and with golden balls of flowery of light in late Winter through Spring and generally after good rainfall.
This tree is an inspiration for a spiritual journey, I believe.
